Anna Bier Gallery announces inaugural Holiday Exhibit

The Anna Bier Gallery will host an opening reception on Sunday, November 28 from 12 noon till 2 p.m. honoring local artists whose work has been chosen for exhibit in the first annual Anna Bier Gallery Holiday Show. An awards ceremony will begin at 1 p.m., with first and second place prizes being awarded in the following categories; drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Additionally, a community winner will be named based on the number of likes posted on the Anna Bier Gallery Facebook page. This show will continue through January 30.

According to Anna Bier Gallery Director CeCelia Rice, artists were encouraged to enter pieces featuring holiday and winter themes, although accepted work was not limited to those subjects. “We are hoping to establish a new tradition for the holiday season, with artists and the public eagerly anticipating experiencing annual holiday cheer locally through the arts each and every year here at the Gallery,” Ms. Rice stated. Gallery hours are Sundays from 12 noon until 2 p.m. with the exception of December 26, when the Gallery will be closed. For more information or to make an appointment to view the show outside of regular Gallery hours, contact Ms. Rice at CeCeliaRice@darkecountyarts.org.

The Anna Bier Gallery is located within historic Henry St. Clair Memorial Hall, 215 West Fourth Street, Greenville.
