Greenville City: Gas & Electric Aggregation Information

The City of Greenville would like to remind residents that we are part of a governmental aggregation program which may save money for residents and small commercial consumers on their gas and electric bills. If interested in joining, the information to do so is follows:

Important facts about aggregation:

  • aggregated customers enjoy “bulk buying power” that individual residents often cannot achieve
  • nothing changes except the rate you pay for electricity and natural gas
  • you will continue to call AES and CenterPoint for any service or billing questions
  • you are in complete control. You can opt-out of the program at any time without penalty

Please note: No supplier for the residential aggregation program will solicit door-to-door. All solicitors within the city limits are also required to obtain a permit to solicit door-to-door. Always request to see this permit. If no permit can provided, please contact the City of Greenville Police Department at (937) 548-1103. The City may issue a permit per the requestor having met the requirements of the application process; however, this does not mean the City endorses the product or service being solicited.

For further questions, please feel free to contact the City of Greenville at (937) 548-1819 during regular business hours.
