Greenville Varsity Bowling: Boys and Girls lose to Butler at Home

The Greenwave Varsity Bowlers took on the Butler Aviators at Woodcrest Lanes.

The first game, the boys were fired up and started off with a 25 pin lead against the #1 team in the division. The second game they bowled well, but lost the lead by 10 pins.  So going into the bakers they were right there with the #1 team.  The bakers is where things fell apart as they gave up about 50 pins per baker.

Despite the loss, it was a great night for the boys.  Corbin Frye led the boys with a 213 high game and he tied for the high series with Conner Leas with a 371.

Unfortunately, the girls were no match for Butler.  The girls lost each game by around 200 pins per game.  The 1st baker was closer as they lost by less than 30 pins, but things went back down on the 2nd baker.

Marissa Boney led the girls with a 162 high game and a 297 series.

The teams will take on Xenia at Woodcrest Lanes on Monday.
