Harold K. Carothers age 92, of Greenville passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
Harold was born March 10, 1930, in Darke County to the late Abijah & Clarissa (Norris) Carothers. Harold was also preceded in death by his son, Kevin Carothers; granddaughter, Laura Collins; sisters & brothers-in-law, Edna & Kenneth Schlosser and Margery & Frank Harris; and brothers & sister-in-law, Max & Alice Carothers and Joe Carothers.
Harold is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sondra (Crawford) Carothers whom he married February 14, 1959; daughters & son-in-law, Becky & George Luce of Greenville and Linda Collins of Gahanna; grandchildren, Andrew & Michaela Collins of Columbus and Brian Collins & fiancée, Sarah Maghes of Columbus; sister-in-law, Dorothy Carothers of Westerville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Harold graduated from New Madison High School in 1948. He retired from Treaty Company in Greenville where he was an accountant for 37 years. He is a longtime member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Greenville where he served at treasurer for 28 years.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Lowell Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
