Karen E. (Grote) Bucklew, 42 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday September 29, 2022. Karen was born April 28, 1980 in Greenville, Ohio, the daughter of Wayne and Theresa “Terri” (Scott) Grote of Greenville.
Karen worked as the Store Manager at Dollar General in Fort Recovery.
Karen had a love for her children, which showed, in her involvement as a 4H Advisor, Cub Scout Leader, Band Booster, Jr. Fair Rabbit Committee and most of all she was a proud band mom.
Karen is preceded in death by her grandparents, Hugh and Irene Scott, Paul and Dorothy Grote; and her great grandmother, Donna Grote.
Karen is survived by her parents, her husband, Adam Bucklew of Greenville; her children, Christopher Bucklew, Cameron Bucklew, Courtney Bucklew, Cooper Bucklew, and Savannah Bucklew; her brother, Douglas Grote of Greenville; her in laws, Steve and Pearl Bucklew; and her best friend who was more like a sister, Julie Oliver.
A Celebration of Karen’s Life will be held from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday October 4, 2022 with a service at 7:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home. The family wishes that those who attend to dress in casual attire. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greenville High School Band, or the Darke County 4H Rabbit Committee, 603 Wagner Avenue, Greenville, Ohio 45331.
