The Darke County Animal Shelter has 3 “long-time residents” with fully or partial sponsored adoption fee available for adoption.
They got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.
The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday only by appointment. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645.
Thor came to us as an owner surrender. We are told Thor is a 1 1/2-year-old Lab Mix. Thor’s owner told us that Thor good with cats, housebroken and crate trained! Thor has shown us that he knows how to sit, loves treats and attentions! Thor is a sweet boy who loves to be outside and is learning to walk on a leash. Thor did great for his bath and exam where he weighs in at 34.4 lbs.
Dopey came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Dopey is a 1-year-old, intact male Terrier Mix. Dopey has shown us that he knows how to sit, laydown and likes treats. Dopey is a shy guy who will need time to warm up. Dopey learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Dopey did great for his bath and exam where he weighs in at 30 lbs.
Lamb Chop came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Lamb Chop is a 4-year-old, intact male Alaskan Malamute Mix. Lamb Chop is very sweet boy. Lamb Chop learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Lamb Chop did great for nail trim and exam where he weighs in at 55lbs.
