Steven ”Steve” William Holden, age 72, born on February 7, 1951, of Union City, Ohio, passed away at his home on Sunday May 21, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Steven is survived by his wife Linda (Hawthorne) Holden of 54 years. He is the father of four children: Tamatha Tingley, Michael (Michelle) Holden, Jessica (Daniel) Lamm, and Jennifer (Curtis) McDonald. He is a grandfather to Megan (Joel) Scheib, Mason (Brittany) Holden, Cade and Emmie McDonald, and Myles and Sophie Lamm. He is a great-grandfather to Layla, Liam and Violet Scheib.
He is preceded in death by his parents William and Alberta (Grimm) Holden, siblings Jerry Grimm, Deborah Rohr, and Cindy Devor and son-in-law Roger Tingley. He is also survived by his siblings Dennis and Mark Holden.
Steve was a longtime employee of the Union City Body Company for 40 years. His real passion was with the Union City, Ohio Fire Department, where he served as a Firefighter and Safety Officer for more than 30 years. Steve also enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Cincinnati Reds, the Cincinnati Bengals and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Thursday May 25, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Reichard Funeral Home 400 W. Deerfield Road Union City, IN 47390. A Service to celebrate Steven’s life will follow at 7:00 pm.
