On February 10, 2022 at approx. 0515 hours Darke County Deputies were dispatched to 406 S. Main Street in New Madison in reference to a reported Breaking and Entering. Dispatch was advised the suspect vehicle left the scene. While responding Deputies located the suspect vehicle and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit traveled through Darke County and ended in Miami County on State Route 721 and Arcanum Laura Road.
The suspects fled from the vehicle on foot. Miami County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to assist with the investigation. It was discovered the vehicle the suspects were driving was stolen out of Fairborn, Ohio.
Investigation revealed there was no actual breaking and entering located at 406 S. Main Street, but the suspect were in possession of a stolen vehicle. At this time the suspects have not been located.
This incident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office
